Moments of Joy delivers new, age appropriate toys and runs art and creative workshops for refugee children. For a child who has lost almost everything, a toy of their own is not a small thing. It is often the first thing they have owned in a long time.
What happens in Moments of Joy
Children receive new toys chosen for their age, and take part in workshops where they paint, build, craft and create. Our annual Toy Drive peaks in December, when every gift becomes a toy in a child’s hands.
Who it helps
Refugee children of all ages. Older children are the most often forgotten, so we make sure they are included.
Questions
Can I donate toys?
Yes, new and unwrapped. A gift of money often goes further, because we buy in bulk.
Can my school or office host a toy drive?
Yes. Sign up on our Toy Drive page and we will send a drive kit.
How is my gift used?
Gifts buy new toys and art supplies for workshops.
